Growth Strategy Consulting
Consulting engagements are for SaaS startups determined to grow faster — and unwilling to accept that they need to waste time, money, or sanity to make it happen. Growth strategy recommendations are grounded in nearly two decades’ worth of doing, teaching, or leading high-impact marketing for high-performance startups. No secret hacks, special tricks, or voodoo magic involved.
What’s involved
There are three main deliverables with every growth strategy consulting engagement. The first is a growth acceleration assessment plan with detailed recommendations around strategy, tactics, and operations. It covers both short-term opportunities and longer-term goals.
You’ll also get specific targets for key performance metrics, plus an execution plan that breaks down suggestions for staffing and budget.
We’ll work together to identify other deliverables before and during the course of the engagement: things like hiring support, workshops, customer research, positioning frameworks, or other go-to-market projects.
how it works
Each consulting engagement is tailored to your specific business needs, but the process includes one-on-one interviews with the leadership and go-to-market teams; an in-depth analysis of historical business performance; and market research.
Consulting engagements involve a minimum term of three months, and are based solely on a monthly retainer instead of an hourly fee. You’ll have the option to cancel at any point if things change, or if you don’t feel you’re getting enough value out of the engagement.
who’s a good fit
Growth strategy consulting engagements are best suited to SaaS startups with established product/market fit, generally indicated by ARR of at least $1M.
Growth strategy consulting engagements are also limited to SaaS businesses with a self-service and/or high transaction volume model. In other words, those who do NOT sell through an enterprise-style sales model, where the focus is on fewer deals at higher prices points.
saas startup advising
Ongoing advising is available for all consulting clients, and includes coaching and support for marketing leads as well as founders.
Signing on for advisory support offers you guaranteed availability for answering questions and offering perspective on a range of topics: anything from strategic direction and hiring decisions to campaign brainstorming and copy feedback.
Advisory engagements are available on either an annualized or month to month basis, and there’s no limit to how often we touch base.
